So you want to start a team, but are not sure how to organize practices, and what type of offensive and defensive strategies are used. Here are some useful sites and advice on how to get it off the ground. Start out by checking the weblinks section of the NEPSUL site. In particular, the following websites are very helpful:
www.upa.org This is the website for the Ultimate Players Association, which is the governing body for Ultimate Frisbee. Seriously consider becoming a member to support our sport!
www.ultimatehandbook.com is a great resource. They have the rules in "ten simple rules" as well as a number of helpful links.
The skills and drills section on this site and the animated playmaker they have are really good as well. In the skills and drills section, plays and drills are broken down by skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ultimate/ The Juniors Ultimate mailing list is a fantastic tool, and will help you get in touch with other teams across the nation. It is also a great way to get questions answered about recruiting, or tricky rules, etc.... There is an archive of past postings on the group that you can sift through.
