Wondering how to get a coach for your Ultimate program? Leading placement agency Carney, Sandoe and Associates has 750 candidates for you! Many schools find themselves with students who are interested in playing interscholastic ultimate, but wonder where to find a coach for the team. Often a local ultimate league is a good source for volunteer coaches, but these volunteeers may not be able to attend regular practices, or drive students to games.
Increasingly, there are teaching candidates who are eager to coach ultimate. For the last three years Carney, Sandoe and Associates (CSA) have tracked ultimate experience and coaching interest in their candidate forms.
Using the CSA online candidate application, teachers looking for independent school placements can indicate high school and college Ultimate playing experience, as well as an interest in coaching ultimate.
Since ultimate was added to the list of coaching options, 3,650 candidates have selected it, and in the 2008 recruiting season, there were 750 active candidates who had ultimate playing or coaching experience.
Whether you are an Athletic Director or Dean of Faculty looking for an ultimate coach, or are an ultimate player interested in teaching in an independent day or boarding school, we hope that you will avail yourself of this resource, and help grow the sport.
